Language Arts January 25-29

6th graders are continuing with effective paragraph writing by identifying four types of paragraphs: narrative, descriptive, persuasive and expository.  Knowing how to identify these paragraphs, and knowing what is in each of them will allow the students to write better essays; especially the narrative essay about their literature figure.  Student will complete in-class assignments about these different types of paragraphs.  If an individual student does not complete the in-class assignment, it will be (possibly additional) homework for that student.  Homework this week will be on Wednesday and Thursday and students will have a quiz Friday on identifying these four paragraphs.
